Serie orgánicas 2019

L Series "organic 2019" is born from reflection on need to take every centimeter of stone that nature has given me during this time, discard the stone observe,  reflect on its configuration and make a new piece giving it a second life inspired by the nature of which one day it was a part.

seed

I realized "seed" very little by little, for several years, while I got to know myself, while accepting the realities, the truths, the lies, the hidden and the exposed, the weaknesses and the strengths of the women in my family.

the work is  formed by two carved woods of manzonia and beech,  a traditional rug woven by my grandmother María, now deceased, covered with gold leaf, and the work rests on a pedestal urn of seeds obtained from my grandmothers' houses. This work is only a thank you, a way to embrace and thank so much and so many women.

During my stay in Carrara I could not help but feel responsible for contributing to the continued excavation of its precious mountains, the underground quarries emptied the mountain in the past, the most impressive and essential works of art in our history were made with marble extracted from the quarries underground and it broke my heart to see it with my own eyes, I decided to make Monte Sacro and all my future sculptures with discarded pieces.

The Perspectives- Art, Liver Diseases and Me project offered me the great opportunity to get to know Pascual in depth, a lover of nature and life, his generosity, his creativity and his way of seeing life despite his illness and everything else stuck with me and inspired me.

Aquí te dejo un poco más de nuestra historia
